Shengyong Lu Professor

Shengyong Lu is a Qiushi distinguished Professor and doctoral supervisor at Zhejiang University, and serves as the Deputy Director of the Taizhou Research Institute of Zhejiang University. He has presided over National key R&D projects under China’s “13th Five-Year Plan” and “14th Five-Year Plan.” He is recognized as a national-level leading talent in scientific and technological innovation. He is selected as of the Zhejiang Provincial Distinguished Young Scientists Fund and the Zhejiang “151 Talent Program.” His research focuses on thermochemical treatment and resource utilization of solid wastes, recycling of wastes from specialized equipment, online monitoring and emission control of specific, trace, and ultra-trace toxic organic pollutants, as well as biochar preparation and carbon emission reduction technologies. He has led more than 30 research projects, including National Key R&D Program projects, nuclear technology R&D projects, grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Zhejiang Provincial Distinguished Young Scientists Fund. He has received two Second Prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, three First Prizes and one Second Prize of provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards, as well as one China Patent Gold Award and one Zhejiang Patent Gold Award. He has been granted over 100 national invention patents and has published more than 200 high-level academic papers.
