Prof. Lan Xiang

Xiang Lan, Professor, Tsinghua University
Professor Xiang Lan has long been engaged in research on inorganic materials and chemical engineering, covering micro/nano-structure and surface regulation, dispersion and agglomeration, separation and composite, oriented growth, powder and hydrothermal technologies. Her research aims to promote the green and high-value utilization of bulk and low-grade complex mineral resources (including calcium, zinc, magnesium, phosphorus, lithium, titanium, etc.).
She has published more than 160 SCI papers in journals such as Applied Catalysis B-Environmental and Small, been granted more than 40 invention patents, and delivered over 20 invited presentations at international conferences. Some of her research achievements have been applied in industrial practice.
She received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Solvothermal and Hydrothermal Association (ISHA) in 2025, the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation in 2006, and the Outstanding Young Scientist Award from the same federation in 2008.
