Professor Sue-Huai Gau currently serves as Chairman of the Taiwan Environmental Protection and Education Foundation and Professor Emeritus at Tamkang University. He has long been dedicated to environmental engineering education and practical implementation, with expertise in waste treatment and resource recovery, wastewater treatment, circular economy, and carbon management. He previously served as Chair of the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering, Director of the Chinese Institute of Environmental Engineering, and Chair of the Waste Treatment and Resource Recovery Committee. He has also long served as an examiner and reviewer for national service examinations and as a government advisor. His research focuses on the resource recovery of incineration ashes. He holds multiple patents and has received awards in international competitions. He has led numerous projects on industrial low-carbon transformation and sustainable development, and has supervised more than 150 master's and doctoral students.
