Doctor Lu Jiawei is a researcher and postgraduate supervisor of South China Institute of Environmental Science (Ecological and Environmental Emergency Research Institute of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment), and member of the Professional Committee of Environmental Emergency of the Chinese Society of Environmental Science, is mainly engaged in solid waste pollution management, risk prevention and control, and regulatory enforcement. He has supported the EPA to carry out the special action of municipal solid waste incineration and power generation industry to fully meet the emission standards; investigated, inspected and helped 1/3 incineration plants in the whole country to take the lead in meeting the standards, and constructed a system of environmental risk supervision methods in MSW incineration and other wastes disposals. He is the PI of 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published more than 30 high quality journal papers, prepared and issued 15 standards and norms, and won 4 scientific and technological awards.
