Zhang Shengtian Director

Zhang Shengtian, currently serving as Director of the Science and Technology Department at the Nanjing Institute of Environmental Sciences under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, is a candidate for the Jiangsu Province "333 High-Level Talent Training Program," a registered consulting (investment) engineer, and a registered environmental impact assessment engineer. He has been awarded the Jiangsu Province May 1st Labor Medal. With long-term expertise in the field of contaminated site investigation, assessment, and remediation technology research, he has led one national key research and development project and one major Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative project, spearheaded three national-level projects including those under the 863 Program and the Science and Technology Support Program, as well as four provincial and ministerial-level projects. He has taken the lead in drafting numerous national technical documents and standards, participated in two national soil pollution status surveys and detailed investigations. Having published over 50 SCI papers, authored four monographs, and secured 16 authorized invention patents, he has won three national first prizes, including the China Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement Award and the National Invention and Entrepreneurship Achievement Award, along with six national environmental protection science and technology awards and multiple provincial and ministerial-level honors such as the Tianjin Science and Technology Award.
