Prof. Long currently serves as Director of the Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Research Center at Nanjing Institute of Environmental Sciences, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Director of the Key Laboratory of Soil Environmental Management and Pollution Control, Ministry of Ecology and Environment. He is a member of the National Ecological and Environmental Protection Expert Committee, one of the first National Environmental Protection Young Top-notch Professionals, a high-level overseas returnee recognized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and among the first batch of environmental damage assessment experts appointed by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. He has compiled multiple national and local standards, including “Soil Environmental Quality—Risk Control Standard for Soil Contamination of Development Land” (GB36600-2018), and participated in soil and groundwater pollution prevention at major incident sites such as the Tianjin Port “8.12” explosion and the Xiangshui “3.21” explosion. He authored the “Technical Manual for Soil Pollution Risk Control and Remediation” and “Technical Manual for Groundwater Pollution Risk Control and Remediation”. With over 60 papers published in domestic and international academic journals, he has received one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one First Prize and three Second Prizes of the Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award.
