Panpan Xu is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Energy, Soochow University. Her research primarily focuses on the failure mechanisms of energy storage materials and advanced recycling technologies. She has published over 60 academic papers, with more than 4,000 citations in SCI journals and an H-index of 31. As the first or corresponding author, she has published over 33 SCI papers, including in Nature Communications (2 papers), Joule (1 paper), Angewandte Chemie International Edition (2 papers), and Science Bulletin (1 paper), among which 3 papers are ESI Highly Cited Papers. She has been recognized as a Leading Talent in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Suzhou, a Jiangsu Provincial Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Youth Promotion Association, a 2025 Rising Star in Nanoscale, and a 2026 Rising Scientist in JMCA. She has led 8 projects, including the Key R&D Program for Basic Research and General Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
