Wang Dongmin is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Chemical & Environmental Engineering at China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). He serves as the Director of the Institute of Concrete and Environmental Materials. He has been recognized as a Stanford University Top 2% Highly Cited Scientist (global list). He is the Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program of China project titled "High Solid Waste, Low-Carbon, High-Durability Concrete and Key Application Technologies for Coastal Engineering Structures."
Professor Wang is an Executive Director of the Chinese Ceramic Society, where he founded and established the Solid Waste and Eco-Materials Division of the Chinese Ceramic Society, and currently serves as its Chairman.
He has long been dedicated to the research on the resource utilization of industrial, mining, and municipal solid wastes for the preparation of eco-friendly construction materials, as well as the development of modern high-performance cement and concrete materials and the fine chemical synthesis of their chemical admixtures. He has taken a leading role both domestically and internationally in proposing the concept of "Solid Waste and Eco-Materials," seamlessly integrating the resource utilization of solid wastes with the low-carbon and green sustainable development of cement and concrete materials.
His research focuses on the preparation of low-carbon cement and concrete materials from solid wastes, hydraulic lime and ancient building restoration materials, and the harmless treatment and resource utilization of municipal solid waste incineration fly ash.
