Jiadong Yu is an Associate Researcher at the School of Environment, Tsinghua University. His research focuses on green technologies for resource recovery from emerging solid wastes. He has published 36 papers in total, including 19 as first or corresponding author in leading journals such as Joule, PNAS, and Nature Communications; four of these have been selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers. He has served as the project leader for an Original Exploration Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and has led four research projects, including the NSFC Young Scientists Fund and the General Program of the Beijing Natural Science Foundation. His awards and honors include the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry (2024), the Gold Award in the Beijing Invention and Innovation Competition (2024), the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the China Association of Circular Economy (2022), the Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury at the 49th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, a Gold Medal at the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, and the Excellent Presenter Award at the 13th Youth Symposium on Environmental Engineering.
