Dr. Jiaqi Lu received his Ph.D. from Tohoku University, Japan, and currently serves as the discipline leader of Carbon Footprint at the Institute of Carbon Neutrality Systems Engineering, Shanghai University of Engineering Science. His team was among the first participants in the “Tiangong Project” initiated by Tsinghua University, undertaking major research projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key R&D projects of the Shanghai Municipal Agricultural Commission, and Zhejiang Province’s “Pioneer and Leading Goose” programs related to carbon footprint assessment and low-carbon technologies. His research focuses on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), product carbon footprinting, industrial process modeling and optimization, waste resource recovery, and circular economy. Over the past five years, he has published more than 50 papers in leading journals including Resour Conserv Recycl, Water Res, Waste Manage, iScience, ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, and J Clean Prod, providing decision-support methodologies for pollution and carbon reduction across products, environmental systems, industrial processes, and industrial parks.
