Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Civil Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, he has been recognized as a National-Level Young Talent and serves as the Director of the Anhui Provincial Engineering Research Center for Low-Carbon Technologies in Cement-Based Materials. His research interests encompass solid waste disposal and resource utilization, environmental cement chemistry, the development of novel low-carbon and carbon-negative cementitious materials, synchrotron radiation characterization of cementitious materials, and hazardous waste disposal. He has led numerous collaborative projects between China and Japan, published over 70 papers, co-edited two English-language monographs, and contributed chapters to three other English monographs. He serves as a Young Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Materials Science and Technology and Biochar, as well as an Editorial Board Member for Circular Economy, Scientific Reports, and Biochar X. Additionally, he holds concurrent positions as a Committee Member of the Circular Economy Branch of the Chinese Society for Environmental Chemistry, a Review Committee Member for Scientific Research Grants at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), and a Member of the American Chemical Society (ACS); he also serves as an external reviewer for various national-level talent programs.
