Liu Fang, born in January 1993, holds a joint Ph.D. in Engineering from Zhejiang University and Westlake University. She is currently a Tenured Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Full-time Faculty Member at the School of Economics and Management, Zhejiang A&F University (ZJAFU). She also serves as a Full-time Researcher at the Ecological Civilization Research Institute of ZJAFU—a Key Professional Think Tank in Zhejiang Province—and as a Guest Professor at the School of Environment and Resources, ZJAFU. Her long-term research focuses on sustainable assessment of solid waste recycling, industrial ecology, applied economics, international trade and environment, among other fields. She has participated in several key national research programs, including the National Key R&D Program of China and General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. To date, she has published over 20 papers, including 16 SCI-indexed papers as first or corresponding author in top-tier journals such as The Innovation, Nature Food, Nature Communications, Resources, Conservation & Recycling, and Sustainable Production and Consumption. She also holds 3 authorized invention patents and 3 utility model patents.

In 2023, she received her Ph.D. in Engineering (jointly supervised by Zhejiang University and Westlake University) and was awarded the Westlake University Presidential Medal—the highest honor for doctoral graduates—along with more than 30 other awards and honors.
