Dr. Qingran Zhang is a tenured Associate Professor, Distinguished Research Fellow, and doctoral supervisor at the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 2016, under the supervision of Professor Rose Amal, a Fellow of both the Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, and Director of the International Hydrogen Energy Training Centre.
His research focuses on renewable energy storage and conversion of environmental substance, including renewable energy utilization, electrochemical catalytic conversion mechanisms, the design of nanoscale and microscale functional materials, and the development of practical electrolysis and flow-reaction systems. His work covers green hydrogen production, in situ hydrogen peroxide generation, and environmental remediation. He has published more than 40 papers in leading journals, including Science Advances, Nature Communications, Energy & Environmental Science, Angewandte Chemie, Advanced Energy Materials, and Water Research. He also serves as a young editorial board member of Nano-Micro Letters and Environmental Engineering, and as a cooperative researcher at the Australian Hydrogen Energy Training Centre.
