Dr. Ning Zhang is a national high-level young talent awardee, a professor, and a doctoral supervisor at Jinan University. Her research focuses on circular economy and carbon neutrality management in the built environment, with particular emphasis on construction material metabolism, resource recovery from construction waste, carbon accounting, and environmental impact assessment. Addressing key resource and environmental challenges in the green and low-carbon transition of the built environment, she integrates multi-scale analytical approaches including material flow analysis, life cycle assessment, and technology scenario modeling to systematically evaluate the environmental impacts and emission reduction potential of low-carbon building materials, resource recovery technologies, and related infrastructure development.
