Ya Liu is a Research Assistant Professor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her primary research focuses on the green and intelligent recovery of precious metals from urban mining sources, along with associated pollutant control. She has secured and led multiple national-level research projects, including the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Category C), a sub-project under the National Key R&D Program of China, and the National Postdoctoral Researchers Funding Program. She has published more than 20 SCI-indexed papers in the fields of metal resource recovery from urban mines and pollution control. She is also a recipient of the Shanghai "Super Postdoctoral" Incentive Program.
