He has long been engaged in the research and application of green low-carbon and circular utilization technologies for electromechanical products, including electrical and electronic products and new energy equipment, devoting himself to providing scientific and technological support for national ecological civilization construction and resource security strategy.

He has served as the project principal investigator of the National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program) and Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program Special Project on Circular Economy during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. He has participated in more than 30 national, provincial and ministerial projects including those supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and presided over over 30 horizontal research projects concerning recycling system construction, circular utilization technologies and supporting equipment.

He has published 34 academic papers, obtained 30 authorized national invention patents and 2 PCT patents. He has participated in the formulation of 17 standards, including 1 IEC standard, 4 national standards and 6 industrial standards, and has been awarded 9 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological achievement awards.
