Pinjing He has worked in the field of solid waste treatment, disposal, and utilization for a long time. He is the co-editor-in-chief of Waste Management (Elsevier, JCR Q1) and chief of Environmental Sanitation Engineering (Chinese Journal, indexed in Scopus). As a principal investigator, he has been responsible for more than 40 national level projects, including National Key Research and Development Program of China, NSFC projects, National 973 projects, National 863 projects, National Science and Technology Support Plan project tasks, and National Science and Technology Major Project projects. He has published 380 SCI papers in journals, such as Environment Science & Technology, and 260 papers in Chinese journals, such as SCIENCE CHINA Technological Sciences. He has 68 authorized Chinese Innovative Patents, 4 authorized American Innovative Patents, and 9 registered software, and has applied for 6 PCT Patents. He has taken part in establishing more than 20 national, industrial, local, and group standards. He has been awarded 18 science and technology awards, including the first prize of the Science Research Famous Achievement Award in Higher Institution.
