Prof. Lou focus on pollution reduction and carbon mitigation within the waste sector. He has published over 100 papers in leading journals such as National Science Review, Science Advances, and Environmental Science & Technology, authored 4 books (including works by Elsevier and Springer), and holds 40+ national invention patents. As a principal investigator, he has led some projects like the National Key R&D Program and the Joint Key Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has received support from programs like the "Chang Jiang Young Scholars Program" and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and has achieved 7 academic awards, including the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
