Beidou Xi, Professor and Ph.D.Supervisor, is the President of the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES). He has long been dedicated to research in the fields of organic solid waste disposal and resource utilization, leading more than 20 national major science and technology projects. His contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including the State Technological Invention Award First Prize, three State Technological Invention Award Second Prizes, three State Scientific and Technological Progress Award Second Prizes, and seven provincial and ministerial-level First Prizes. He has published more than 300 high-impact papers in journals such as Nature Communications, Science Advances, Environmental Science & Technology, and Water Research, and has been repeatedly included in the list of Highly Cited Scholars by Elsevier. He has received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and has been honored with the Distinguished Engineer Award. Also, he was awarded National Outstanding Professional and Technical Talent in 2021.
