Fangqin Cheng, Professor and PhD Supervisor, National Outstanding Engineer, serves as Director of the National Key Laboratory for Efficient Utilization Technology of Coal Waste Resources in Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for CO2 Emission Reduction and Resource Utilization; selected for the National "New Century Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project", awarded the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Innovation Prize, and recognized as a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance. She has long been dedicated to the research and engineering application of key technologies in industrial solid waste treatment and disposal. She has successively undertaken and completed the National Key R&D Program, National 863 Program projects, National Natural Science Foundation Key Projects, and provincial/ministerial-level major scientific research initiatives. As the first or corresponding author, she has published over 160 SCI-indexed papers; obtained more than 90 authorized patents; authored 5 monographs; and received over 10 provincial/ministerial-level science and technology awards as the first completer, including 2 National Science and Technology Progress Second-Class Awards, 1 National Higher Education (Postgraduate) Teaching Achievement Second-Class Award, 1 Shanxi Science and Technology Progress Grand Prize, and 4 Shanxi Science and Technology Progress First-Class Awards. She has been honored with titles such as "National May 1st Women's Pace-setter" and "National March 8th Red Banner Holder". The team she leads has been awarded the "Shanxi Youth May 4th Medal Certificate" for transformational development and the title of "Shanxi Model Collective".
